The 400th edition of the contest generated a healthy 35 clues and 36 votes. There was a close contest for the 2nd spot.

In Fifth place with 21 pts is Nick Nicholas Loader with ‘Stage of life experienced by you or by me perhaps? (6)’

In Fourth place with 22 pts is Satyen Nabar with ‘Root may be run out, leaving Australia’s captain excited (6)’

In Third place is @qpheevr with ‘“Twisting & Shaking” or “Be My Baby”, potentially (6)’

In Second place is Ganesh Raman with ‘Absurd or maybe without a basis’

In First place by a distance is Madhusudan H with an acrostic – ‘Baby-to-be starts to expand, mother buys relaxing yoga outfit (6)’. This clue was a whopping 14 points ahead of the trailing pack finishing with 39 points.
