Dave Williams hosted this week and here’s his summary of the results…

Thanks to this week’s participants, and well done to the top five, who all garnered over 20 points of votes. Quite a variety of wordplay in use, as I’d hoped when I picked the word – mostly anagrams but at least lots of different ones … and many ways of disguising the definition!

But by a margin of twelve points, the winner is @inwitinwit, with a nice smooth fiscal-policy surface. Congratulations, it’ll be your turn next!

Close jostling for the silver and bronze, with only four points separating 2nd, 3rd and 4th places. Lovely prizegiving imagery in Veera Raghavan’s second-place clue, and a clever def as red-herring anagram-indicator in @LowdownCryptic’s third.

Have a good week!

Congrats @inwitinwit – Your clue is now in our HALL OF FAME.
