Dave Williams hosted this week and here’s his summary of the results…

This week it was very close at the top again with only a couple of points separating the top four.

While I hear a lot of people say they dislike Spoonerisms, it clearly wasn’t the case among our voters, as Ganesh Raman’s very smoothly phrased one just took the top spot with 25 points.

The letter bank has definitely settled in as part of the standard clueing arsenal, judging from Samit Kallianpur’s popular entry just one point behind.

And then the snappiest of the many *DESIGNS+WRONG anagrams came in right behind those, courtesy of Madhusdan H and @inwitinwit.

Nice to see ‘Sherlock Holmes costume’ as an alternative definition among all the robes and housecoats (no Arthur Dent fans out there though? 😉 )

Thanks to all who entered, and congratulations to those taking podium places, especially Ganesh; I eagerly await your choice of word for the next one!

Congrats Ganesh – Your clue is now in our HALL OF FAME. Thanks to Dave for hosting and the interesting challenge.
