Q.Pheevr (@qpheevr) hosted this week and here’s his summary of the results…

We had a total of 40 entries for MODERATION, and a nicely diverse range of approaches.

However, only 35 people voted; participants should please remember that everyone who contributes a clue is expected to contribute to the voting as well.

There are seven cluers in our top five this week:

In a three-way tie for fifth place, with 20 points each, we have

Amrita Majumdar (“Different ways to dominate or control ?”),

N Anantakrishnan (“Rabid Modi era not showing restraint”), and

Yossi Fendel (“A proportional relationship between the most commonly seen value and the total number of observations in a statistical sample (disregarding extreme values)”).

In a two-way tie for third place, with 22 points each, are

Gayathri Viswanath (“Restraint with date in room? Difficult”) and

Ananth Srinivasan (“Patience!! A Communist revolution is in progress”).

Our second-place finisher this week is Diogeneb, earning 34 points with a witty &lit: “To remain composed about one’s desires, primarily”.

And the winner, with 37 points, is @LowdownCryptic, with a concise and tasty anagram: “Cook me tandoori – not too much!”

Congratulations to all the winners, and thanks to everyone who submitted a clue and everyone who voted! Over to @LowdownCryptic for the next word…

Congrats @LowdownCryptic – Your clue is now in our HALL OF FAME.
