Stats -We had the best response ever received by us for  “24 x 25” with 46 unique submissions for the puzzle. Of those who submitted, 38 got the full grid score of 32 but only 23 people got the maximum possible score of 36. Here’s the Solution grid.

The correct answers to these were

(1) 24A = SIX; 25A = HUNDRED; 24×25=600, which is the number of games recently completed on 1Across
(2) COMICS and CURRENT (reading down the 4th and 14th columns)
(3) 600 in Roman numerals is DC, which is a well-known abbreviation for Direct CURRENT and Detective COMICS

The top 3 clues in the grid, based on the number of votes were 1. Replica by Crypt Ella and Tunisian Dishes by Viresh, which got 13 votes each, 2. Chartered by Faten, which got 11 votes and 3. Diderot by Ashley and Syncopate by Martin, which got 10 votes each.

  1. Have to mildly disagree with the NINAs etc, though this also works

    A more direct reference is DC (which is six hundred) referring to Washington DC, once called Rome
