Ruskin was the host and here’s her round up of the week’s contest.

The clue-writing competition for BOUDICA received 20 entries.
In fifth place with 20 points from 10 voters was ALP with
“Revolting Queen of Hearts in mad children’s fable about Alice’s fun travels”
In fourth place with 21 points from 11 voters was our esteemed site host Sowmya Ramkumar with
“British audio broadcast about leader of Celts – a warrior queen”
In third place with 23 points from 12 voters was Ramki Krishnan with
“Queen band’s first audio broadcast enthrals clubs”
In second place with 24 points from 13 voters was qpheevr with
“Ancient queen’s banquets of unpalatable starters followed by acid reflux”
But the clear winner on 40 points from 19 voters was Satyen Nabar with
“Warrior queen organised a coup bid after losing power”
There was a nice variety of different clue types. The clue I had come up, when I came up with the word was
Tart from the east pursuing endless fight?
&lit; tart = ACID (reversed); after endless fight = BOU(T)
Incidentally, two setters had the same idea as I did, reversing ACID after a shortened BOU(T)
Satyen – over to you!
SR: Thanks Ruskin for giving us an opportunity to learn about Boudica and belated birthday wishes. Congrats Satyen on your tenth win this season – yet another clue of yours is now in our HALL OF FAME. Thanks for hosting Ruskin.

We love to hear from you..Let us know what you think..
